This is not strange at all! I remember reading an article about this thing the brain does, they called it incubation or something like that. They say that even though you might have stopped practicing playing, say for about an hour, your brain keeps "working" on it. If its true or not I can not say, but I guess there must be something like that because you are not the only person this happens to...
