How important is it to know the location of the notes on the fretboard? Currently I can "work out" what note it is after 5 seconds of thinking but I don't "know" what note it is. If you asked me to play a B on the D string, it would take me some time to find it. Is it important I learn these? If so what are some of the best methods for learning them?
