All right fellas and gals, I just got into a new band and it's a bit different from those in the past. We've only been together a few weeks and are getting set list together. What we're (well at least I am)trying to do is get a broad spectrum of sets to kindof grab everyone's taste (one note....no country). The problem I'm finding is that the singer is way more old school than myself (I'm 31). Right now we're doing more older songs than modern (ie..Mustang Sally, Cuts Like a Knife, Honky Tonk Woman, Gloria, No Matter What, Proud Mary). I'm trying to steer us towards playing things that will attract the younger crowd right now, but alas, I'm getting older and a bit out of touch. I've already convinced them to add "Bad Day" by Fuel and the "99 Red Balloons" remake by Goldfinger. Any other suggestions that you folks would hear if you were in a club listening to a band? I'd love some suggestions.
