The standard for each lesson should be "When you can do this, you are ready to move forward". So, as long as you can play what is played in the lesson & understand the basic idea being presented, you can safely move forward. You do not have to grasp & apply every single thing presented or mentioned.
Some things, like memorizing notes & scale positions will require gradual practice over the course of time. Therefore, you should make time in your practice schedule to keep going back over & working on things like that.
Keep in mind that even though you go forward to the next lesson, the Guitar Fundamental Courses are an integrated curriculum: All the content is designed to work together. And more, since it is designed to play in small lesson "chunks" it is optimally designed for multiple viewings & reviewings!
