Dexterity is the key thing here. Building strength is also important but you will need to do it in a wise way. When you press a barre chord do it firmly but release quickly - do a series of 20 times, then stop and release for 20 secs. Do 5 series of those. After a few days you will start noticing that your fingers become more flexible and gain dexterity. Start the accuracy process - play a chord and then pick strings independently seeking the wrong notes - if any - adjust or at least try. If in the middle of the proces it hurts - release immediately.
