I have both an Epiphone and a PRS although not these models.
The Epi is a G400 Custom which is an SG-alike and the PRS is an American made SC245 so is not really a fair comparison but I have played my friend's SE SC and found it very playable and sounded great.
My main problem with the G400 is that the body is very light which can lead to disasters when you let the neck go!
So, I'm probably not the best person to advise you because I would say PRS every time.
I regularly read reviews in Brit magazines and the whole SE range always seems well thought of especially in its price range.
