Well, I just wanted to say that I've been trying this "insanity pick" now for 2 or 3 weeks, (hard to remember exactly how long) to practice alternate picking - and it really is insane at about half an inch thick (11.85 mm thick), but I must say.... [there are 35 grinds involved to make the pick, so it costs $35 too!]

when you switch back to a more normal v-pick size, it seems that your control goes way way up. These huge insanity picks are from v-picks. I think that the insanity pick forces a person to relax their picking hand, or at least makes them way more conscious of tension.

Does anyone else have any experience with the insanity pick? They have a sort of feel to them such that you don't need to regrip the pick either, which I think helps in speed.
