And you are right. Unlike a single coil with a piece of flatwork on top & bottom, the bobbin for an HB is an actual spool for the wire. I was unaware of this.
So, back to the OP and HB covers...? The only issue would be if the opening in the pick guard was too small, and it would only cost $4 to find out. And if so, you can still widen the opening in the pickguard. I bet it's a standard opening, though.
