42 years old and getting crazier by the day. I've harbored an itch to learn guitar that started after high school. I played trombone in the marching band but that didn't really translate well into real life (I mean who would want you to pull your trombone out around the campfire and blast out some JP Sousa?). I finally just decided that it was time. I made some noise around the family and lo and behold I got a shiny new Yamaha acoustic for Christmas. Now I'm working on my major chords and picking out some single note (and a few multi-voice) tunes and loving every minute of it.
Remember, there is a fine line between insanity and genius. The hard part is not letting anyone know which side of the line you're on!
Rock on!

BTW, I now have a Fender Strat on layaway. Let the insanity begin!
