If you're more into older stuff (old geezer talkin' here) you might take a look at some of Crosby, Stills and Nash's songs. I particularly like Southern Cross for basic, open chord progressions. It's a straight-forward A, G, D progression with a little Bm thrown in later. And it's a good tempo to play along to as you listen as well.
