I don't know Jacksons and it's hard to tell much from the pic, but that seems like an excellent deal. The amp isn't much, but if the effects processor is half way decent, that's some good value right there. Plus the wireless system (probably at least a couple hundred bucks for a pair those?), and all the other odds & ends... I hear of people getting just a Jackson guitar in the $250 range and they feel it's an awesome deal. Actually seems too good to be true.

And, if the guitar - being the actual component of interest to you - does not play well, then the whole deal is worthless.

Although there's tons & tons of debates on tonewood this and tonewood that, for metal, imo, you need vibrato, 24 frets, thin neck and hot humbuckers. Get that combo in any guitar, paint it flat black and you've got an Instant Metal Machine!

One thing you might try is Google Images with a description of the guitar... You might hit a link that provides the model and then you can look up some reviews.
