awesome review! I have a 424-SM (I think, I bought it in the early, EARLY musicyo.com days, somewhere around 2000 or so) and it's been my main guitar for the last 10 years. I wanted to put away the ProAxe and the Nightswan, since I couldn't replace anything if they broke (and the Nightswans were bad about neck breaks). I paid 179.00 for it with free shipping. I have never changed anything on it except the strings, and while I don't know if they changed the specs on the pickups, I love the quad rails, especially the neck humbucker.

I will say I hate the tremelo, and don't even use it anymore. Of course I am too lazy to swap it out with something better, so I just blocked it off...
