I play Squier Strat, too ;)
I suggest you to to take Fender or Ernie Ball 10's or 9's.
9's if you are beginner, and 10's if not.
When did you buy your strat and where's it crafted (China, Japan, Indonesia...)? You can read that in the back of your headstock.
