I'm a big believer in "multi-modality learning", which is a fancy of way of saying that there is plenty you can learn about playing guitar, even without having the guitar in your hands.

Watch, listen, read, think, visualize. It will all add up to learning, and when you're ready to put two hands on the guitar, you'll have that much of a head start.
