Yea I agree. I am in the same boat that your are in. I have been playing for a few years, and I really dont consider myself a newbie. One thing I did is I pretended that I didnt know anything, and I did all the scales and stuff like it was the first time i had ever seen it. Now i feel good about myself becouse I will have a good solid foundation on top of what i already had.
