Just started the major chords lesson in GF1. Now some of the chords such as the A Major I can play just using two fingers, as in holding the two strings next to each other down together with on finger. Is it a bad thing that will hurt u later comming up with your own way of playing a chord or should I really be focusing on the instructors version of the chords? I wasnt sure if there was a specific reason to bend my fingers in ways they have never been before :P In the meantime I guess Ill continue to try it the correct way. I really struggle with changing chords.
