My 6 year old got a fiddle for her birthday last year, and a mini strat for Christmas. She asked for these, and she picks them up a few times a week. She has to have her guitar when she watches Hannah Montana, and a friend has shown her a few things on the fiddle. We're not pushing her, if she wants to learn then she ask me to show her something else.
She fusses about sore fingers, but she remembers the A chord, and hasn't quite got the D yet. She is constantly singing, or humming a tune, and she says she wants to be a rock star, lol. If she wants to play, then we encourage her to. I hope she does learn a musical instrument, but that's her choice to make.
I enjoy spending time with her anyway, but it really makes me proud when she gets her guitar, and says Daddy teach me something else.
We're glad you like the site, and let us know if we can do anything to help you.
