My experience is the opposite. My cousin's son wanted to learn the guitar, but they didn't have the money for lessons. I played the piano and the fiddle, so I started looking for resources for him. Once I started finding resources, I got me a guitar, and now we're learning together. I didn't think I'd ever play the guitar because my hands are so small, but I found a good used guitar at a flea market for $12 that fit me just right. He does better than I do, but I'm practicing every day. I think I'll find some helpful stuff on here, too.
