Trooper - Boys In the Bright White Sports Car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU304Gs3r60

mp3 sample might be a bit clearer: http://www.trooper.ca/albums/audio/BoysInTheBrightWhite.mp3

(Highly underrated band! :))

The intro to this song as a repeating pattern played in A# and F basically in the A# power chord shape. I guess it would be 2 16th notes on A# followed by an 8th on the F and repeat thru A#, G# & C#. It's very simple, but fast (for me!).

Logic suggests doing upstroke, downstroke, downstroke (A#,A#,F) as it is more economical, and this is what I practice.

Conversely, downstroke, upstroke, downstroke feels more 'natural', seems to sound more emphatically correct (if that's even a thing), but takes more time to move the pick around.

Either way, I have to skip strings. Any recommendations?

Otherwise, I've got this tune down pretty good, but when I hit those sections my timing falls apart a bit.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.
