I wish there would have been something like this site, when I was learning to play. It would've saved so much time, had to figure it all out on my own. When I was learning, it was mostly records, not even CDS, you might get lucky enough to catch a great performance on TV.

Roy Clark on Hee Haw, or Don Rich playing with Buck Owens. Jerry Reed, and Chet Atkins, and a little Austin City Limits. Many jam sessions at bluegrass festivals, and other places too.

When I come up with my lessons I try to think of what I wish someone would have taken a few minutes to show me, and that's what I try to teach. You can go much further in a shorter time, if you don't have to figure it all out yourself. Looking back now, I wouldn't change the way I learned it, but it would have been much easier with GT around.

I'm still trying to figure out some of this computer stuff, been talking about figuring out myspace, facebook, and twitter. I'm getting there, but it's quite a process, lol. Have a good one, and let us know if we can do anything to help.
