Just about any reputable guitar store can put you in the right direction for a good, inexpensive tuner...THAT WORKS. Stay out of Pawn Shops if you can. If a store is going to give you advice, they are usually not going to steer you wrong as just ONE bad transaction might lose them a hundred customers just by word of mouth...You tell Joe, Joe tells Moe..you see where I'm headed with this? Seiko makes a great tuner, but as said before in other posts, you can get some nice effects pedals with tuners built in. BOSS, ZOOM, DIGITECH..it just depends on your wallet really.
Hope this helped!

Also I take it this site is good for learning electric guitar, most of the free videos seem to be acoustic.
And I take it there is no problem with me being from the UK, obviously I pay in $ and the bank converts it to £ but just want to make sure there is no T&Cs stopping it :)
Thanks,
