actually learned to pick out amazing grace (only two days for the simple version I learned) and it helped put that crazy fretboard in perspective, though I'll have to find MANY more songs before I can say I know it well. it dose help to be able to play a song you can relate to, seems to hellp with rhythm and such.

the real nice part is when I found I could pop in an extra note in there in a spot or and make the whole thing flow a little better, that was the really fun part, as it's as close to improv as I get right now.
