Yep, definitely. You'll need to learn things like sweeping, tapping, scales and the proper way to practice them, plus how to get the sound from your equipment including what kind of pedals to use and how these guys get their sound in the studio. Quite a few of the teachers here have beginner to very advanced techniques and there's several thousand lessons to choose from.

My own stuff includes a lot of advanced rock licks and tricks that players use, along with tutorials (and newer ones coming in HiDef) on home recording techniques, micing, using multitrack recorders and VST instruments, midi. Plus, now that we've switched over to HiDef and better quality I'm adding backup tracks to almost every lesson so that you can practice to them. There's also a Jam player with hundreds of pieces of music on it that loops songs endlessly so you can practice different techniques.

You can basically jump in where you feel most comfortable. Some people start with beginner techniques including theory and follow a more regimented lesson plan, while others with more experience are more content to browse around the site looking for playing tips and various techniques and tricks they can use.
