Good stuff. Back in the day, when I wasn't playing, I would run sound for some friends bands when the soundman would flake. I did decently and was usually better than the regular guy. I have a fussy ear. Then you meet someone that really knows what they're doing...makes a fella realize that real mixing talents and EQing particularly are a real skill. Getting how all these frequencies work together take knowledge. The doc you found is a wonderful guide. I mean sure, ya gotta have an ear to begin with but it's nice to really know what affects what.
