To be honest, if you can't wrap your hand around the guitar, it's likely you have it placed in your lap wrong and need to place it differently. I'd posted it in the above thread but the curvey part of the body should be resting on your left knee (assuming you have a right handed guitar). The butt end of the guitar should be resting against your your right inner thigh. The guitar should be angled slightly upwards from the but end to the headstock (tuner end).
