Are there freeboard exercises that are good for barring?

Also... Is the guitar really only for long fingered people? I bet Schlegel can reach from the first fret all the way to the 7th with ease. He's got some long fingers. :D

Is it cheating if I don't play the high F? I mean really... Chords are 1,3,5 of a scale right? We are only playing the high F because it's easy. However, i recall it being said that there are some times we wont play certain notes in a chord because you can't or it's not convenient... Well.. It's not convenient for me :D
