HAHAHA Great story! My wife is addicted to guitar hero but wont touch my guitar because she couldn't even push the string down :D I play an acoustic and absolutely love it and I too was addicted to guitar hero and that is probably what talked me into a guitar. I got my guitar at target also and I don't see anything wrong with it...sounds good to me :)

Yeah guitar hero is fun but I think after your fingers toughen up you will end up liking the actual guitar more than the game..sorta flip flop. I can't put the thing down. When I first got it I played until I couldn't possibly play anymore because my fingers hurt hahah but I can play for hours now.

There definitely is nothing wrong with starting with a "starter guitar" I couldn't see putting down 600 bucks on something that would be like " this thing is COOL and a week later its laying in the corner somewhere.
I think you made a good decision you can always upgrade later on.

Guitar Tricks is as addictive as Guitar Hero. The TABS are almost like the game just thing of them as being sideways with a whole lot more buttons HAHAHa. Good luck with it, welcome to GT there is a bunch of great folks here and a whole lotta outstanding Lessons. Hope it hits you like it dd me :D
