Now we cannot print this stuff out, and it pisses me off.

The new format sucks

Calm down; have some dip. :)

It would be nice if you can contact support with details about what operating system and internet browser you are using so any bugs can be worked out. I'm sure it can be worked out.

Although I am new to Guitartricks I was comfortable with how quickly I was able to find what I wanted to use. Now I find it very difficult to search for lessons and tutorials. A contents page for each category would be very helpful. I don't like spending more time trying to find what I would like to do than actually doing it. Hope this happens.
Thanks

Hi guys,

Like the new site design overall, but I was about to jump into the scales contents page and I can't seem to find it.

I remember with the old design there was a scales page with all different scale lessons broken up into categories.....pentatonic, harmonic minor etc....now when I go to scales from the "lessons" page it all seems kinda jumbled up and I have to just browse through it.

I liked it when it was more structured. Even the specific genre layouts....might just need some time to get used to it...

Just another comment I don't know if anyone else is having this "problem"
Some of the Lines on the TABS and notation are just not there on a lot of the lessons. Some of the Lines are compacted together or missing or both
I also noticed some of the TABS/notation have shrunk and are very hard to see or they look like something printed out when the printer is low on ink.

I hope I used the correct terminology and that makes sense ;)

Thanks for all the comments. Please keep them coming.

We will definitely make some changes based on some of the suggestions here.

I am not sure we will get much done this week (big holiday week in the U.S. - Thanksgiving) but we will get it done.

I'd just like to add that I'm also seeing issues with video using the latest version of Firefox (and previous versions) on the Mac. When opening a page with a video lesson, the browser doesn't show the video unless I scroll down, sometimes having to obscure the screen where the lesson is shown.

I don't see the problem with Safari.

Anyway, I love the new design. Great site.

I'm using IE 7 on Vista, and so far the only problem I've had is with the page position. I like to view the pages at 150% to make them the full width of my monitor, but the pages come up shifted to the right so that I have to drag them back to the centre of the screen every time I open a new page.

I like the look, and it seems to load faster, too!

Hi,

The advance search tool doesn't work properly (or I am using it incorrectly!). Say I want to find all 4-guitar-difficulty tutorials by Christopher Schlegel. I check the 4-guitar box, the tutorial box, and Christopher Schlegel's box. I leave the keyword form blank. Hit search.

It returns five tutorials by CS, all one or two-guitar difficulty level. If I click "more tutorials..." I get the whole list of all tutorials by all instructors at all levels!

I read earlier in this thread that the filters were removed to make the site simpler to navigate? But there needs to be some way to filter or search, otherwise it takes forever to click through many pages of easy tutorials (at only five per page!).

I'm running Firefox 3.0.4 on XP.

Other than finding it hard to navigate to harder, older lessons, I think the new site looks great, and definitely loads quicker for me.

Thanks

Here is what I have been doing that might help some out. I take my time when setting up my lesson plans and just weed through everything. I bookmark whatever I plan to practice through out the week, but not with the bookmark feature from GT or you are gonna have the same problem. I add it to my favorites where I have created a practice schedule folder. I only am picking lessons or tips and tricks that don't have garbled up TABS, and well that are working perfectly. I hope that soon it is all fixed and I won't have to do it like this anymore but it's really not so bad. It will work till GT is back to "normal" Keep up the good work guys.

Also I must admit that weeding through everything I have found a few lessons I haven't seen before. If something interests you look at it,try it without worrying about the difficulty level. I have found somethings (although very, very, few) rated higher than I thought I could do, tried it and it was very doable and FUN!

This filing system also works well if you use lessons or whatever from other sites or your own to have everything in one place :)

Recently returned to the site after a few months. I'll need to give this more time before reaching a conclusion or offering constructive feedback.

However, my first impression was that the old site was cooler.

You guys still rock, though.
