Depends on ---> personal preference <---, the size/length of your fingers, the thickness of the neck, ect. I would use just the index finger for the 8, the bird finger for the 10, and the pinky for the 12. Of course, don't take that advice too completely becuase when I first learned lead I learned it all wrong so naturally I do everything just a bit different.
