I remember way back when Edgar came out with Frankenstein. I know I know this is just supposed to be about Johnny but in fact the duo did actually play the song together once at Royal Albert Hall in England. It is a very rare recording, though it was recently included in the two disc Deluxe Edition CD of Johnny Winter's Second Winter. Anyway I was in High School and we all used to hang out at this little eatery down the hill called the Star Lunch. There was an old Rowe jukebox there and of course we all knew how to turn it up. The owner, luckily was a push over and pretty much let us have run of the place so to speak. Well we had FRANKENSTEIN just blasting as loud as we could get it. Then, just at the part when the Synth starts to sizzle down before the drum solos a little old lady probably in her late 80's bless her soul, gets up and walks towards the jukebox. She stops and screams at the top of her lungs EVERYONE GET OUT THAT DAMN THING IS GOING TO BLOW UP!! Well all of us just lost it !!!I am glad to say it is still one of my all time favorite memories of youth, Rock n Roll and that funny green stuff. IF ya know what I mean. Johnny though has been an inspiration to me as a player and I tip my hat to him!! Sorry this was so long ;-)
