Yeah, I agree that you probably want to develop some control over that so you don't do it all the time.

But it could be cool if you use it as an effect. I've seen some acoustic guitar players pretty much accompany themselves with percussion by slapping and hitting the body of the guitar while they play. It's pretty cool...
