I've always been curious about this, when I do a down-stroke.. I always hit the guitar as the plectrum slides off the E string. It makes a pretty loud thud, especially on an acoustic since the body is hollow. Is it a bad thing for that to happen? If so, I had better get out of the habit and try to only hit the strings :)
