First of all, I've played guitar for 30-mumble mumble years now but mostly just to make noise and have fun. Sometimes with friends, never in a real band. So in a lot of ways I consider my self a beginner even after all these years. So in that vein, I need to ask a question.

I'm playing a Fender Strat S/S/S that I've had for about 20 years through a new Marshall MG100HDFX/MG412 (Freakin best Amp I've ever owned). Because of the amp...and this site...I'm really getting into the guitar like I haven't in years. Trying to remember things and make older hands work like they used to.

I like all types of music (have especially been getting off on the classical\latin\gysy stuff on this site) but I've always loved the Ventures since my Mum used to play their stuff when I was 4 years old. My folks had all their LP's...literally all of them and I inherited a few of them. So along with all the various types and styles of music I'm picking up on at this site. I'd love to be able to do a rendition of "Fuzzy and Wild" or "Wild Things". (The youngn's should check these out...to see what cool really is.)

Now to the question. I want that vintage fuzz sound...that raunchy, sand in your crack, bee hive hairdo sound. Let me add the caveat that I am not a rich man at all. So in that, I was running through MF to find a fuzz pedal that does that sound. Does anyone know of a good one that doesn't cost $400 (and has a billion other settings that I don't need)? MF has literally thousands of pedal and I don't have a clue.

Oh, and Bernie you need to add more lessons...there are some old folks out there too. LOL
