Yeah, try the EQ's through the loop....not the distortion, keep it in front of the amp.

You'll just have to experiment....EQ's sound better through the loop to me.

I believe that's because the signal goes through the pre-amp section of the amp (where the eq on the amp comes into play) before it gets to the EQ pedal that is in the loop. That way you can sculpt your tone after the amp has done it's work, if that makes any sense.

Just take these as suggestions, like I said earlier, there is no golden rule....
