I got an Ovation guitar and the distance between the strings and the fret is too high, maybe around 2 mm. I am told this is called the "action" of the guitar or something like this.
How can I lower it? It doesn have any adjustment screws. Just a piece of plastic that is fixed there. Should I take it out and sand it down? Will it help for an easier playing? I also got a strat, with much lower strings and is a breeze to play.
