Strings - cool... easier to play 9's... but cool
Picks - cool, but maybe get more gauges and fewer of each gauge
Tuner - cool
Cable - cool
Strap - cool
Amp - Cool

On the guitar... you'll get less noise from the rogue HH , but in my opinion the strat is a better first guitar. To be honest with any of the distortion from that amp engaged, they'll sound pretty similar so it's down to how they feel in your hands... Have you played them?
