I would recommend getting a Gibson Explorer, and a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier for starters...Jk.. :D . My first electric guitar was an Ibanez Gio, and I played that for nearly 4 years!!! Poor me. It wasn't that bad, but now that I have a Gibson I can't stand to play it. I would reccomend either an Entry level Ibanez, or a squire.
