I just purchased an old Music Man 130 Watt tube head from a friends music store. I have been looking for a specific sound using combinations of amps and this old MM completes the search. It is very clean but also has an incerdible low end to it that I can't define in words. One side of the amp is for guitar, the other side for Bass.

I have used Marshall and Fender combinations for years and of course I have seen the occational Music Man amp. Just wondering if anyone knows the history behind them. It looks just like a Fender head down to the last detail. Did Fender buy Music Man out at some point or is (was) Music Man a higher or lower end Fender amp?????

If anyone knows the answer or where I can find the history of Music Man, please let me know.

PEACE
