I need to get to a guitar center to line up these amps and try them out, but the problem is getting up there since its a fairly long drive, hopefully someone can help me out, and as a side note I will probably never play gigs or anything with this amp and have a lot of friends to jam with, but none of them are drummers so I dont need to worry about having to compete sound wise with a drummer

Hey Dude
I think that the best bet for you would be peavey classic 30
it has really cool sound, very versatile-you can play at home as well as with a drummer.
If it's still too loud -take off some power valves to decrease the volume

This amp never breaks down and looks cool.....
If You are concerned about the volume -hook it up with POD
What I do with my marshall- I turn all volumes all the way up
turn the channel volume on my POD up to 10 as well
and then just keep the master volume of my POD on 1
this gives me a killer effect
My students who come to my place just love this sound
