i have the vox ac-30 vt it is 30 watt but it has a power attunator on the back so i can get as low as .20 watts. its a good little amp and plays very well over a noisy drummer. it has classic vox model amps built in and some new ones too even some built in effects. threw my fender strat neck pickup the boutque clean sound on the amp sounds like velvet and with a little chours added shimmers beautfuly.


take it from some one that learned the hard way. dont spend your money on gear that isnt worth it. and just because your not playing with a drummer now doesnt mean you wont be later.if you have a good amp and guitar now that can play well with any setup when you do make new friends you wont say "i cant my gear sucks". and if you have passable gear now save your money for the next step in quality dont buy every cheap pos guitar that comes along.

and even though that vox amp is only $250 it is well worth the buy as an introduction to tubes (it only has one).
