I was just wondering if i should purchase the Gibson Les Paul Special (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-Special-Faded-Electric-Guitar-with-Humbuckers-517199-i1149224.gc) or spend about 50$ more for the Les Paul Vintage Mahogany (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-Vintage-Mahogany-Electric-Guitar-103371357-i1149476.gc)

I was also considering throwing two VOS BurstBuckers in a plain top epiphone les paul... would this produce a good blues (ish, like emotional zeppelin stuff) tone, or is gibson the way to go?

Also.. I plan to use a Peavy 258 amp (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Peavey-Rage-258-Guitar-Amplifier-with-TransTube-Technology-481336-i1167404.gc) Is there anything wrong with that choice?

Thanks, lespage
