Enjoy!
Does this include the innards of the guitar itself? I have this strat that has been sitting on my rack for the last few months because of an annoying buzz I get. I've established that it is definitely more than the normal buzz you get from passive pickups and is more than likely something to do with the wiring and/or shielding.
I've looked through some websites, one of which was suggested by a GT forum user. These sites are great and highly detailed but I don't want to start pulling things apart and re-wiring without the ability to ask questions along the way. I should really take it to a certified guitar tech but a guitar tech is who originally put the pickups in the strat to begin with, and since then the guitar has been unuseable. I honestly just don't have the time to get to a guitar shop to drop it off, and since my main strat guitar is working fine, I tend to just leave it sitting there.
I really love that blue strat because of the ultra thin neck and it also has a distinctly different sound than my main strat. The website I was directed to is perhaps a little daunting to me as it requires me to totally rewire the entire guitar to achieve a lower-than-normal buzz. All I want is something that will bring it back to a normal single-coil buzz... I don't mind a little buzz.. as this is the nature of passive pickups.
