Hello all. I am new at this blog stuff. I have an ampeg TUBE amp for my steel pedal guitar. Last year it was in a flood while I was on the road, (truck driver). I came home, cleaned it up and it played well for about 2 months. After switching to different speakers, I noticed a smell to it and it just stopped working. I have found out after many years, that the speakers not hooked up while the amp is on is bad, that the speaker plug wire is different than as a mic plug wire. I am looking for some input. I need to fix this thing because it was my father in laws and my daughter was close to him. She wants to learn the steel and keep his AMP. I have a basic knowledge of electronics...am I hoping for too much here?
