Chord charts are good for exactly the purpose you are using them for but when you want to play a weird chord and the fingering is equally as weird, then you may want to be able to see if the chord can be played differently.. in many cases it can. At the bottom of the chord selection area is a button called "Variations".. click that to see all the "reasonable" fingerings for that chord. Of course this may mean playing a different inversion/voicing of the chord.. but you get that.
