I've never been too comfortable with my voice, however for the most part I always gave into the urge to sing along with the compositions I've written over the past few years. Because despite whether or not you can really belt out those notes with your throat muscles, it's impoortant to find comfort in your voice, which definitely adds to your playing. I grew up singing and learning Bob Dylan tunes, so I've always taken the casual road when it comes to singing, nothing too fancy.
