I actually know that the mini disc has a digital out, and that some soundcards (the expensive ones)have a digital in, so you might want to check it out, because using a special cord, you can have a better sound. When recording the MD, your MD goes from digital to analog, then back to digital in the computer, so, in the process, you lose some quality (not much, but audio freaks spend thousands of dollars on this)staying in the digital world guarantees a no loss performance
