True, if it aint broke, don't fix it. But its a big risk for a company like that. If too many people get bored, it could be the end of the franchise (this is supposed to be the end anyways since its a trilogy, but I doubt it lol). Its still ridiculously fun to play, but nothing revolutionary like I mentioned. I just don't want people to expect something completely new. If you liked the first 2, your probably going to like this one.
