well again there are severall opinions.

firstly i have to explain the term action. this is the distance between the strings and the fret board. the larger the action the harder the guitar is to play. more expensive guitars will normaly have lower actions.

but playin on a guitar with a high action is good for you, in that it makes your fingers stronger. but personally i dont think its that important as long as the guitars u want to play well are those with low actions. also if this does concern you, you could just buy a cheapish acoustic later and this will strengthen your fingers up

that guitar seems pretty good. floyd rose whammy bar is nice, although they are a little hard to set up, but get the tech in the shop to show you how. he should they are sellin u a $1000 guitar.

im a bit suprised you have so much to spend, just make sure you have the dedication to make the money you spend worth it. oh also rememebr you have to buy an amp as well, so dont blow all your cash on a guitar.

in my opinion go for it although i would definately suggest playing a few guitars to see which ones you find easier to play. this is because the shape of the necks of different guitars are different.metal guitars tend to have wide flat necks which are good for acuracy but not as comfortable as rounder necks like strats.

neways hope this helps
