EDIT: I just ran through all the brands you listed and I really like the ESP stuff.. I was particularly looking at the ESP RZK-1 Richard Z Rammstein Signature Model (link) for $1148.29 CDN.. now, would it be an alright guitar for me to learn on? or is it too advanced? orrr... yeah.. as I said before I dont know much about any of this so. Hopefully someone could shed some light :)

I'm pretty open as far as my budget is concerned.. however, spending more than $1000 might be a bit much. You're very informative about all this and I really really appreciate your knowledge. I'll take a look at a few guitars you mentioned and see what I can come up with.. is there any particualr models that stand out for you from those brands you mentioned?
