I was asking on another thread how to tune an electric with a whammy and I got great advice,I thank you all who contributed.
But it ended up whippin my ass in the long run,so I'll come back to that later ;)
Now; a 12 string acoustic.
I have been playing 6 string for about 6 years and I know all about those.
I know how to play a 12 string. I have one.
I know that you tune the strings an octave apart except for the B&E strings.
they are tuned to the same notes.
Now here is my question: what the hell is the octave difference and how do I find it?!?
I have a basic Korg GA 30 guitar/bass tuner and it only shows EADGBE( as well as 5 different flat options) when I am tunning. I have checked the instructions over and over trying to see if there is some trick I am missing.
Do I need a different tuner?
Do I tune all the strings to the same note as the one it is paired with?
Do I go back to the electric with the whammy?! :D
Any ideas?!
